SEN basketball

We are delighted to have teamed up with Occupational Therapists from The Southsea OT to deliver a 6-week ‘Rebound and Regulate’ workshop aimed at children who find community sports sessions difficult to participate in due to:- sensory sensitivities
- coordination difficulties
- anxiety
- reduced confidence
- difficulty following instructions
struggle to focusEmbracing the therapeutic value of basketball, the workshop will:- Promote sensory and emotional regulation
- Support development of strength and coordination
- Encourage confidence building and teamwork
- Maximise participation and funNumbers are limited to 6 per workshop-Silent basketballs
-No whistles or shouting
-High adult to child ratios
-Calming, regulating activities
-Basketball skills
-Supportive, friendly environment
